Kevin Tanner · Warehouse, Sets & Props Manager

Growing up in London the youngest in a family of ten children, it’s not totally surprising that Kevin was always vying to be the centre of attention, and he naturally drifted towards performing.

After moving to Perth in his late teens, Kevin studied acting for three years and has maintained that connection to the theatre on and off ever since, performing in over 50 plays and appearing on TV, Film and the most financially lucrative – advertisements! Recently, Kevin has enjoyed performing in Sydney’s Community Musical Theatre scene, appearing as Walter De Courcey in Chess for AMS, Colonel Pickering in BTC’s My Fair Lady and most recently in NTC’s productions of Les Miserables & Miss Saigon and Grandpa Joe in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.

What attracted Kevin to NTC is the high standards that they set and expect, as well as, the great comraderie amongst the cast, crew & production team.

Kevin is excited to join the NTC team to assist both on and off stage in putting together high calibre shows that bridge the gap between community & professional theatre.

Mike Tham · General Member

Mike’s first years dabbling in musical theatre saw him strike gold with Noteable Theatre Company.

Music has always played an important role in Mike’s life growing up; he was a trombonist for his high school band and state orchestra in Malaysia, and he participated in choral singing throughout school and church. He has been involved in the SGL Choir for the past 6 years, and has sung diverse genres from pop music, to Sondheim, to opera at venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Europe and Japan.

Mike stumbled across an ad from NTC in his choir’s newsletter, seeking interest for their 2021 production of Miss Saigon, and the rest is history. Miss Saigon marks the debut of Mike in a musical theatre production; in which he was the understudy for the role of The Engineer and is had a blast with the whole production.

This is Mike’s opportunity to give back to the community and he hopes to serve NTC with the same commitment and dedication they have shown him.
