Natasha Tsafis

Our next episode of the Ghost Light Concert features Natasha Tsafis who can be seen in NTC’s upcoming productions of Les Miserables (The Concourse March 2021) and Miss Saigon (Glen St Theatre July 2021) in the lead role of Kim.

In this episode, Natasha has chosen to sing ‘She Used to Be Mine’ from the hit Broadway musical Waitress by Sara Bareilles.

When talking to Natasha she explains why she chose this particular song  “Like most live arts events, Waitress the Musical was set to open in Sydney this year but was postponed due to the unforeseeable circumstance of the global pandemic”.

‘She Used to Be Mine’ is the show’s power ballad in which the main character laments over losing a part of herself as the character no longer recognises the person she once used to be.  “This song is significant to the current climate as the livelihoods of so many people have been heavily impacted by COVID 19 – and many artists globally have lost a crucial part of their life and themselves”. she goes on to say.

Natasha would have made her Noteable Theatre Company debut in July this year as Kim in Miss Saigon, however, the production had to be postponed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. However, she says that she is  “grateful that Miss Saigon will be making a comeback in July 2021”.

Natasha is no stranger to the stage she has appeared previously as Josephine Bloom in Engadine Musical Society’s Big Fish, Babette the feather duster in Miranda Musical Society’s Beauty and the Beast, and The Mistress in Evita, also with MMS. Natasha’s other credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (MMS), Chicago (EMS), Wicked (MMS), Young Frankenstein (MMS), and Kinky Boots (RMS) all as a Featured Dancer.

Natasha graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Business at UNSW in 2017 with a Major/Dance she also studied Theatre Performance Studies.

To see Natasha live on stage tickets for Miss Saigon and Les Miserables are on sale now by visiting the Notebale Theatre Company website.

These episodes of the Ghostlight Concert would not have been possible without the assistance of Willoughby City Council and The Zenith Theatre in Chatswood.

From all of us at Noteable Theatre Company we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and hope that you enjoy this episode of Ghostlight despite the current situation with COVID-19 in NSW at the moment.
